Problem statement
Swiss VAT setup in D365 has many moving parts: sales tax codes, sales tax groups, item sales tax groups, settlement periods, tax limits and reporting codes. Typing these in manually during every Swiss go-live is repetitive and error-prone, and small mistakes show up weeks later in the VAT declaration.
Solution
The Swiss VAT Import Tool provides a validated Excel template with all the entities a Swiss implementation needs. The template maps cleanly to the D365 Data Import/Export Framework entities and includes the standard Swiss VAT rates, limits and reporting codes.
